Dynamite/blast fishing

 

Dynamite fishing, also known as blast fishing, is when blasts are used to stun schools of fish for easy pickings. In most countries this practice is illegal, even so lots of fishermen continue doing it. Dynamite fishing often also kills corlas below so dynamite fishing often kills other things than the fish they want. This way of fishing also often hurts the fishermen because it is so highly explosive. This type of fishing is really old as it originates from before world war one. To prevent drynamite fishing some countries have underwater blast detection systems to detect the blasts made by the dynamite so they can catch the fishermen violating the law. Lots of researchers believe that dynamite fishing is the main cause of coral reefs dissapering
